Miss Deborah Jayne – Principal

BA Honours Degree in Dance & Performing Arts DDI & DDE ISTD Ballet/Tap/Modern.

Deborah started dancing at an early age and trained to a professional level. She obtained a BA Honours Degree in Dance and Performing Arts at Hertfordshire University before qualifying as a teacher with ‘The Centre’ for Performing Arts and Kingston Teaching Training College. Previously Deborah had attended Laine Theatre Arts and London Studio for theatre studies and musical theatre. 

 
Deborah has been performing professionally in theatres for many years and has built up her career performing in theatre and television. 
 
Throughout her career Deborah has taught dance in a number of reputable dance schools and in colleges she has choreographed for a number of companies including some well known holiday companies, choreographing their ‘in-house’ productions, she has also choreographed for musicals, films, fashion shows and charity events. Deborah follows the established Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, her genres taught include ballet, modern, tap, hip-hop, contemporary and musical theatre. She enjoys using her professional experiences to teach to a high standard and finds teaching rewarding and fulfilling.

Miss Kate

Diploma in Dance and Musical Theatre. DDI & DDE ISTD – Ballet

Miss Kate studied dance and musical theatre at The Arts Educational School and furthered her training at The Performance Preparation Academy where she continued to expand her dance and musical theatre training. Since this time Miss Kate has performed as a dancer for various professional companies and was privileged to take part in the Olympics closing ceremony. Miss Kate has always enjoyed teaching and after obtaining her teaching qualifications with the ISTD, she now teaches for various schools, teaching Ballet, Tap and Modern. Miss Kate teaches our Southfields Ballet classes.

Miss Chloe Harwood

BA (Hons), LRAD, RAD RTS, ISTD DDI

Miss Chloe began dancing at an early age studying Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz and Contempoary. In 2016 she began her teacher training in I.S.T.D Diploma in Dance Instruction in modern and tap. In 2018 she began studying on the BA (hons) Ballet Education degree with the Royal Academy of Dance, which she has now completed and holds a BA (hons) in Ballet Education and the Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Dance, as well as being a registered teacher. She is now continuing her studying to complete her Diploma with the I.S.T.D and looks forward to growing and sharing her knowledge.

Miss Lucy

Lucy attended The Brit School of Performing Arts and went straight on to complete a three year degree course at London Studio Centre as a Seedtime graduate (musical theatre).

Some of her performing experience includes performing in front of 5000 people at the O2 Academy Brixton for the ‘Carter and The Unstoppable Sex Machines’ final gig, perform in an Anya Hindmarch fashion week show, take part in the Miley Cyrus Madame Tussauds London wax work unveiling trailer and play various characters in a production of Legally Blonde at the Pleasance Theatre.

Lucy has an immense passion for teaching and choreography, in which over the last four years, has taught at various schools in London, back at The Brit School and has choreographed many routines that have entered various festivals, gaining high marks and many medals.

Miss Hannah

Hannah has been dancing from the age of 3 with at her local school in Oxford. Alongside completing her Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) grades from Pre-primary to Advanced 1 she has also been assisting with the lower grades for the last 10 years which is where she really developed a love teaching and witnessed the the wonderful effect dancing can have on young students. She has also trained with the Cecchetti Associate Program, Danceworks International Ballet Academy and English Youth Ballet to gain as broad an insight to the world of ballet as she can, gaining experience in all the different ballet styles and teaching techniques. She has recently moved to London in September 2018 to start her training on the BA (hons) Ballet Education and Licentiate programs offered at the Royal Academy of Dance.

Miss Bethany

Bethany is a graduate from ‘The Urdang Academy’ in London where she obtained a full scholarship and a level 6 Diploma in professional musical theatre. Bethany has performed in many professional Musicals, Fashion shows and TV shows since she was 8 years old. Bethany now attends the ‘Judith Hockaday College’ to further her dance education in ISTD teaching examinations as she enjoys inspiring and educating young children on all she has learned. Bethany is currently still performing alongside teaching.

Miss Jordan

Miss Jordan began dancing from the age of 7 at Walsall Academy of Dance, where she took part in examinations across the IDTA, ISTD and RAD examination boards. Alongside this, she also participated in shows and festivals. After assisting and teaching at her local dance school, Miss Jordan knew this was the career she wanted to pursue and went on to achieve her IDTA Ballet Pre-Associates. Miss Jordan then gained a place at the Royal Academy of Dance and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Ballet Education. She went on to teach full time in London, until moving to Australia early 2018 to travel and work for two years teaching in schools and colleges. Miss Jordan is very excited to be teaching full time in London again, to share her passion for dance amongst her students!

Miss Shannon

Shannon has been training in Dance performance since the age of three and attended dance lessons from an early age in  ballet, modern, tap, jazz, commercial, musical theatre, contemporary and lyrical.  Shannon is currently in her last year studying a degree in ballet education at ‘The Royal Academy of Dance’ and Studying her teaching qualifications at the ISTD. She has a passion for teaching and wants to encourage the pupils to have the same.
